Carry this handbag and pay tribute to both the late Alexander McQueen and his inspiration for this piece: the iconic Michael Jackson. McQueen's Thriller Faithful Glove Clutch is a black whipsnake design clutch that features two angled zipper pockets and a white fingerless glove embellished with white Swarovski crystals on the front. The Valentino Summer Flower Tote is another femme-fatale, dynamite bag from Valentino's particularly womanly spring collection.

This very nearly lip-shaped tote is decked in supple nappa leather flowers in bright, bold colors which captivate and catch the eye. The unusual color combination is fresh and lovely, calling to mind images of a hot summer day, a glass of lemonade and some very red lipstick. The use of black increases the intrigue of the bag, giving it a gothic edge. One could see a celeb like Dita Von Teese carrying this to complement a lacy or chiffon ensemble.

The bag is especially large (21"W X 12"H X 8"D), and could even be used overnight. It features a magnetic snap closure and metal feet, a black polyester-satin lining and a 16" drop detachable shoulder strap. We'd hate to see a bag like this wasted on work, and hope we'll catch someone brave enough to take it down the red carpet.

Botkier Harper Lambskin Tote, Handbag of the Day

The Botkier Harper Lambskin Tote is a beautiful, bright blue bag with a fun, festive design.

This tote is belted in all kinds of ways, from the clever double buckles on the double handles to the chic and utilitarian horizontal straps which give the bag its unique, sexy shape. The warm, Caribbean blue is set off nicely by the gunmetal hardware -- and did we mention it's not your average leather, but soft, buttery lambskin? You could practically use this as a pillow.

The bag is 12"H x 15"W x 4"D, and features a cream-colored jacquard lining (creating a fabulous teal-and-cream contrast). The top zips with a tassel pull, and a detachable shoulder strap is included.

This Botkier will make an excellent splash of color to set off this seasons pale grays and beiges, and is large enough to function as a work bag for the gainfully occupied.

As we emerge from the dark jewel tones and black velvets of winter into a lighter, brighter, pastel spring 2010, this pale gray Tote can be your friend and ally at work or at play. The Jimmy Choo Tatum Fringe Shoulder Bag is a sexy new Choo offering with a glamorous rock-and-roll edge.

This shoulder bag is crafted from woven and pieced together black metallic leather and soft suede, for a highly textured, I'm-cooler-than-your-average-fringe-wearing-hippie look. Speaking of the fringe, it drops a full seven inches, balancing the seven inch drop double shoulder handles. Keep an eye on the car door.

We love the bright silver hardware, which makes the black look blacker, and the way the chains balance the sleek logo plate at the bottom. The 16"W X 14"H X 2½"D bag is lined in a pale caramel suede and includes two zipper pockets and an open pocket.

The Gucci New Bamboo Large Top Handle Bag is a gorgeous neo-classic from a house we love.

The unusual texture you're looking at is actually a fascinating heather gray leather -- feels normal, looks innovative. This is one of those bags that will become even more attractive with age.

The heather leather -- that's right, we said it -- and steely nickel hardware are a beautiful contrast for the bamboo details. The bamboo accents are carefully balanced; just the bases of the tassels are utilized, and the gorgeous handle is wrapped with elaborate leather details to keep the color contrasts in harmony. We especially like the big, bold bamboo turnlock closure -- so much more tactile than the usual hardware.

The top flap hides a Gucci inscribed mirror and the bag includes two detachable shoulder straps; one in plain leather and one in braided leather with chain. This 10½"W X 6¾"H X 4¼"D masterpiece gives a modern spin to the retro bamboo handle, but the look is still quite difficult to dress up. We find this Gucci most appropriate for lunch or brunch, and casual activities like films and shopping.

$36,000 24-Karat Gold Fendi Bag, Handbag of the Day

Fendi has created a very flashy, very expensive, and very exclusive new bag to celebrate the opening of their most recent shop in the Crystals at MGM's CityCenter in Las Vegas, NV. The bag is a Trevi Fountain Peekaboo bag done in luxe python leather that's been dipped in 24-karat gold and carries a price tag of $36,000. Along with the golden version are a limited edition of 20 other bags that don't have the golden finish but do have a numbered gold logo plate on the inside and each sell for $4,550.

A classic, simple, slightly masculine bag, this Mulberry Mitzy Tote leather bag certainly seems functional and will go with almost anything. It's even convertible -- changing from a shorter, wider bag meant to be worn cross-body to a taller tote bag meant to be carried by hand. Super soft oak-pebbled leather in a rich brown is accented with matte goldtone hardware and dark chocolate colored handles and shoulder strap. Fastens with either a magnetic stud closure or zipper, and is lined in beige canvas. An great bag but I'd prefer it in a different color myself. $750

It might take a minute to see them but this Birdcage Jennifer Quilted Bag by Marc Jacobs really does have birds on it, and they're seemingly in a cage. Black nylon printed with brightly colored birds is overlaid with a stitched latticework of black patent leather. A chunky goldtone shoulder strap with interwoven leather adds a nice touch, as does the little golden logo-embossed padlock on the front, and the whole thing gives off a distinct 80s vibe. It has a simple zip closure along the top and one zip pocket on the black satin interior. $1,195

Suri Cruise Has Her Own $850 Handbag

Suri Cruise is getting started early on her designer handbag collection, and (no surprise) so far she has the very same taste as her mother Katie Holmes. Suri was spotted carrying a tiny metallic Salvatore Ferragamo "Sophia" bag (not the bag shown here) recently as she was carried aboard a helicopter in Jamaica by dad Tom. Mom, bringing up the rear, was toting her own larger version of the same "Sophia" design. Color and all.

Yes she's a cutie, and no we don't know the whole story, but is it really necessary to give a little girl a purse worth almost a $1000 when everybody's traveling and in jeans and t-shirts? Maybe if she's going to the Oscars.

I love this Love Canvas Pochette bag by Lanvin, it's so cheerful and light-hearted and brings up all the happy feelings of bonding with your best girlfriends. It's a simple little rectangular bag of cotton canvas, with a whimsical print and large magenta grosgrain ribbon detail off one side. It also has a bit of red satin trim and a bright fuschia satin lining -- what a combination of colors! A basic zip top closure and a single internal pocket round out the basics, and of course the ribbon is the only available handle. $280
